Safe House Fire & Safety Smoke Alarm Inspections.

Safe House Fire & Safety can inspect all smoke detectors and verify that the fitting and operation complies with the relevant statutes.

• Compliant with the BCA (Building Code of Australia) AS 3786,1993 Smoke Alarms
• Smoke alarm locations are appropriate as determined by the BCA and DFES (Department of Fire and Emergency Services).
• Batteries are replaced in smoke alarms where required
• Smoke alarms are tested with control smoke, decibel testing, button testing and are cleaned and dusted
• Photos and expiry dates are recorded

Safe House Fire & Safety Electrical Safety & RCD Inspections.

By having the RCD’s (Safety Switch) trip time / current tests performed on your premises your company will be fulfilling its obligations under Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760.

Safe House Fire & Safety will ensure that a minimum of 2 RCD`s are present with all G.P.O`s & lighting points protected we can conduct a 6 monthly, yearly or bi-yearly procedure (Pending environment) to ensure that the Australian Standard is being met.

• Locate switchboard and identify circuits protected by RCDs.
• Check switchboard door hinge, locking mechanism and weatherproof seal.
• Clean outside switchboard and general area.
• Push button test to ensure RCD is operational.
• Plug in RCD test device and measure for trip time and current in accordance with Standard.
• Record all test results and action taken.

Safe House Fire & Safety can inspect your property to ensure that it is in a safe and secure state.

Some of the items we will check.

• Window locks present on all windows, where applicable.
• Security screens fitted on windows as per AS 5039-2008 in lieu of locks.
• All externally accessable doors have deadlock fitted with easy release inside.
• All externally accessable doors have security door fitted to AS 5038-2008.
• Supply and fit curtain cords to walls so that they are not choking hazards
• Storage of pool chemicals is safe
